Is thinking and doing mutually exclusive actions?
When we convince ourselves there is nothing more to be learned from acting on an idea we rob ourselves of an opportunity to grow. We are essentially walling ourselves in a bubble that states no new actions need to be taken to keep us happy and secure. Bubbles are also called stasis pods that no new growth can enter, why would you ever want to stop growing?
It is very easy to wrap yourself in the “knowledge” of thinking you can play out every path of a new idea without taking any action on that idea. After all the idea is yours right, who better to know what could happen? Ha Ha Ha!
The thinking part is like a full tea cup in that it is self contained and has no room for growth. Without action, you have absolutely no idea where it may lead until you start to do something with the idea.
Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action. Benjamin Disraeli
